Mobility is one of the main concerns in city development, and more specifically, parking management is one of the most important topics. For this the reason, there are nowadays an increasing interest and numerous developments for regulating the parking process. However, there are some challenge to face: outdoor installations are inefficient and costly.
Our technology solves these problems. We have developed an outdoor parking space detection system that can be easily deployed at low cost. It works day/night in real-time, and, unlike other systems, it can detect false spaces (reduced spaces where a vehicle can not fit). The system uses simple color cameras, and it is based on novel deep learning architectures, fruit of our R&D.
